I love these pedals
"They work perfectly with My shimano SPD cleats. I have at the lowest tension setting and have all the perimeter set screws in and have no problem clicking in."
At only 26.8mm, these are the thinnest mountain bike clip pedals in the world. And they have an extra large, DH-sized platform. The ultra thin profile means you get a larger platform that’s less prone to pedal strikes.
Many other clip pedal platforms don’t even touch your shoe when clipped in. Our lightweight, large platform pedal is designed to actively support your shoe and give you more confidence and control.
Our SPD™ compatible mechanism gives you 5° of float and a 12° release angle with no unwanted play. The tighter cleat fit doesn’t sacrifice float and delivers a locked-in and secure feeling.
Fine tune the feel of your pedals with a wider range of spring tension adjustment than Shimano, removable pins and the included cleat spacers for the perfect fit with any shoe.
Nope! Every pair of pedals has the updated binding plate installed from the get-go, so you're ready to roll, hassle-free.
Our design focuses on two key improvements: eliminating unnecessary play in the cleat-to-binding connection and increasing the maximum release tension. To achieve this, we completely redesigned the binding and refined the cleat-to-binding connection, creating a tighter, more secure fit without sacrificing float. This provides a locked-in, confident feel while you ride. For greater adjustability and control, we engineered springs with a higher maximum tension and a wider range of usable adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune your setup to match your preferences.
If you’re having trouble clipping into the pedal or the binding feels overly tight, even at low tension, there are two adjustments you can make.
First, installing a the provided cleat spacer(s) allows your cleat to make connection with the binding sooner, reducing the interference between the pedal and shoe and making it easier to clip-in.
Second, you can remove the pedal pins to eliminate any additional interference. We recommend starting by adjusting the front pins and then the rear pins, if necessary.
We recommend using our cleats with our pedals. However, Shimano SH51 SPD™ cleats are also compatible. We can't confirm compatibility with, or recommend, any other SPD™ based cleats from other brands. Use these at your own risk.
While we can't guarantee a completely universal fit with the multitude of shoe brands and sizes out there, any shoes with a 2-bolt cleat mounting interface should be compatible. Cleat spacers may be required in some cases.
Our Clip Pedals can be used with or without the pins, but the pins themselves are not height adjustable. They are designed to bottom out in the pin hole, functioning like a standard screw.
If you’re trying to make clipping in easier, we recommend using a cleat spacer first to reduce interference between your shoe and the pedal. If additional adjustments are needed after installing the spacer, you can remove the pins to further minimize interference. Start by removing the front pins, and then the rear pins if necessary.
The hollow design allows dirt to pass through the pin, eliminating the need to pick dirt out before removal. To remove a damaged pin, you can use a 2.5mm Allen key from either the front or back. If removing it from the back, remember to turn clockwise to loosen it. This design ensures easy maintenance and hassle-free removal when damaged.

"Really nice pedals, low profile, tough platform but pretty light weight. I have been having problems clipping into these using the new One Up cleats and my Five Ten shoes. I’ve played with the tension adjustments but a few times i could not even unclip. Never had this problem before using Shimano. One Up staff have, of course, been superb with customer service and are making every effort to help. I’ll keep trying to work out the problem. Hopefully I don’t fall off a cliff or high skinny because I can’t unclip. Steve"
"I’ve been rocking these pedals all summer. Aside from getting them bedded in the first time you use them (just clip and unclip repeatedly with each side of the SPD). These pedals have been flawless and moved to my new favorite clipless pedal that I run across my bikes. Admittedly I even had a gnarly crash recently on my bike where I was thrown down hard on the pedal and bent the axel. Oneup customer support sent me a new pair at no charge. The pedal performance already made me recommend these pedals, but the warranty sealed the deal and earned them a customer for life!"
"Love these pedals. I'd broken my older SPD pedals and was looking for new ones, preferably Canadian-made and these have turned out to be awesome. I got two pairs, one for my mountain bike, and one for road, and I really like that I could get them in colours that almost match my bikes. Very solid construction; love that they're double-sided (I'm lazy); clips hold really well; easy to clip in and out. Would definitely recommend and buy again."
"These pedals hang onto my shoes much better than my XT pedals did, and I have the tension adjusted to light/easy. These should last the life of my new Trek Fuel+, would buy again."
"Fantastic product but has limitations for riders with bad ankles/knees due to the great higher tension springs. I want to use a stock spd cleat without the spacer so I can ride all my other bikes with Shimano pedals and still have some pedal/shoe interface(can't afford to switch them all;-) I was forced to remove the pins completely with my Sidi mtb shoes as I could not clip in otherwise which was a bit of a bummer as I like the combo in theory. Would be nice if the pins didn't bottom out in the higher position but could be lowered as much as desired to give some benifit & allow clip in with a shoe that has lug soles. I haven't tried using the spacer, so to be fair maybe my other Shimano pedals would feel fine with the additional cleat spacer. Older me gives a 4 due to lack of flexibility with other systems as I would need to spacer to enjoy the pins on this pedal due to lack of pin adjustment? Younger me would give these a 5 star for the higher tension abilities and superb overall design."
"They are good pedals, Easy enough to swap out the spikes when it’s time since the Allen fits on the back side not the side that is mashed down"
"Love these pedals. Very secure feeling quality construction. went from flats and these are the best of both worlds."
"So far so good! Classic OneUp part. Does the job more than adequately for a reasonable price!"
"they are great - match my bike perfectly and work as expected. would definitely buy them again. :-)"
