FAQ

Will the pump work with my Clik valves?

The pump has a standard Presta head, which does allow the pump to work with a Clik valve. However, based on rider feedback, we're aware that the pump can feel quite stiff during use.

I got the multi tool and pump, why does the tool rattle in the pump?

The multi tool is just one part of a whole. It is designed to be held captive within the EDC tool system. That complete tool can then be inserted into the pump and everything will be held nice, quiet and compact. Here is a link to the complete EDC tool system.

Do you sell replacement pump straps?

Yes! We have three packs of pump mount straps available in the EDC small parts section of the website.

Why is the tool hard to remove form my pump?

It is likely that the top O-ring is dry. Best thing to do is rub a small amount of grease onto the o-ring and re-install it. If that does not help, please email us at support@oneupcomponents.com.

What is the max the pump mount can be spaced from the bolt? WIll this fit my Wide down tube?

The pump mount has a max extension of 30mm from the center of the mounting bolts.

My pump handle is extending while riding, what can I do?

First make sure the handle seal is fully seated onto the handle. Then make sure you are running the pump with the pointed handle up. If it continue to extend, please email us at support@oneupcomponents.com and we can help!

Where is and how do I remove the CO2 inflator head from the pump?

The inflator head of the pump (the anodized green part) doubles as a CO2 inflator head, simply unthread it from the pump and you can thread your CO2 right onto it.

It can be quite snug from assembly, the first removal may require you use an 8mm hex key to unthread it.

Is this pump compatible with both Presta and Shraeder valves?

This pump is only compatible with Presta valves.

What is the max PSI for these pumps?

This pump is designed for MTB and gravel applications. It will happily get to 50-60PSI. Any pressure beyond that is not practical and we do not recommended this pump for high pressure road applications.

The pump doesn't seem to fit my valve, whats going on?

The pump head fits quite snugly on the valves when new. Be sure you give it a firm & straight push down onto the valve before inflating.

Best Pump!

"This instantly became my favorite pump, I've had quite a few. It has great pumping feel, easy to put onto the valve, can operate a CO2, and holds my tools!"

Brandon A. (5/5)

Good pump but could use some improvements.

"I really like the pump overall. The good: - Lightweight and easy to mount - Optional inline mount or bottle cage mount options. I've used both. The bad: - The rubber presta valve plug that plugs into the actuator is so tight, it sometimes won't plug in (or stay in). The issue I have run into, is that this will explode the green pump inflator assembly to water and dirt. After a while, this will start to corrode the internal parts of the assembly and will prevent the assembly from allowing air to go through, rendering it useless. I've tried to soak it in WD40 to try to free it up, but ended up having to order a new assembly. - I've broken the bottle cage mount twice now, after a couple crashes. The issue is, the pump sticks out the side of the frame and makes is more susceptible to crashes. I recently switched to the in-line mount to see if that is a better solution. - The rubber strap breaks easily. I've broken 2. My friend broke 2 or 3, to the point he just gave up replacing them - Suggestion: It'd be cool if the pump inflator assembly came in optional colours."

Love it so far. I

"Love it so far. I bought the pump, the V2 tool, and the plug and pliers kit. Have not had to use the pump but have used the V2 tool for a quick adjustment. The 100cc EDC pump allows me to go without a pack on shorter rides but gives me the confidence that I can deal with most mechanical issues on the fly. I also bought a spare pump holder so my son can grap the pump for his rides if I am hot along. The EDC system is very well thought out and user friendly. Have already convinces several of my riding buddies to get one too>"

Q&A

The 70cc pump vs 100cc. Does the 100 have more tool space or is the only difference air volume while pumping?
Hi Eric! The 100cc pump is more air volume for pumping and has more room for tool storage.
Sorry still confused. I have the 100c v1 pump, edc tool, and tire plugger with green pliers. Will all my pump accessories fit in the 70, or do I need a new plastic holder? I understand with the smaller pump I can’t take a co2 but the tire plugger will fit? So all I buy is the pump? Thanks
Hey Bob, all but one of your accessories will fit in the 70cc pump. The 70cc pump is too short to fit those chain link pliers. You'll also need a small storage capsule to fit the tire plugs in. Please reply to this comment if you have more questions! Happy to get you sorted here.
Will my older V1 EDC tool, which I use with the larger pump, work with this V2 pump (so I can buy just the pump)? Thanks
Hey Bob, that tool will work no problem in a new pump! You are good to go.
Hi, I bought this pump and EDC today while out on a ride. I immediately lost what looked like an o ring that came with it. Can you confirm if I need this to use the pump and if I need a replacement. Many thanks, seems like a great product and you made it an easy decision being based in Canada.
Hey Quinn, congrats on the new gear! I've added the link for the view here - https://can.oneupcomponents.com/blogs/edc-v2-tool-service-install/edc-tool-system-exploded-view-parts-list Which O-ring did you lose? And did you lose it while ridding?
My pump is sticking (sucking)and not holding air when pumping. I think the seals are shot. Can I get new ones?
Hey James, sorry to hear about your pump! You'll find pump seal kits in our service small parts. Cheers!
